I have had the opportunity to see first hand the ability with which Nicole Jory provides Natural Hoof Care to Vancouver Island horses. Several of my students / clients are also clients of Nicole and I can say without hesitation that the horses she is trimming on a regular basis are being trimmed in a perfectly balanced professional manner. All of the horses’ feet are in terrific shape and are strong and healthy. I have personally watched her trim a few horses and her quiet connection with the horses and her desire to do a perfect job has not gone unnoticed.

Nicole has a natural eye for overall balance which is something not every horseshoer / trimmer has, even ones with many years to their credit.

As someone who has been in the equine industry full time for more than four decades and as someone who had been the horse handler for a very well respected Ontario blacksmith, my late husband, I can say that I have substantial experience in the area of trimming and shoeing for back yard horses as well as top show animals.

I believe in leaving horses as natural as possible whenever possible and this includes allowing them to go barefoot, I would like to encourage anyone thinking of ‘going barefoot’ to contact Nicole Jory. You won’t be disappointed.

Because I want to keep my horse barefoot, I use Nicole Jory for Quincy. She's great with him. He needs a trimmer with some patience, as he's still young and goofy. She does an amazing job on his feet, and is very flexible with my tight schedule (which is always a bonus!) She's always pleasant to talk to and be around, and is a wealth of information once you start talking with her!
